Post Weight-Loss Stretch Marks & Loose Skin Acceptance

In this episode of Confessions of an Obese Child, Gregory discusses his childhood discomfort and shame regarding his fat folds and boy breasts. Later, after his weight loss, he talks about his stretch marks, his abdominal “bloopie,” and his decades-long shame of taking off his shirt in public.

Gregory discusses the evolution of the acceptance of this body.  In college, he had “zones” of which women could or could not touch.  Later this morphed into his refusal to lie in certain position around people.  Finally, he discusses the difficulty of looking at himself naked in the mirror, something he has not done for years.
