Time to Write Weight Maintenance Book

Now that the summer is here, I would be remiss to mention that things will be changing here at Naturopathic Earth.  We will still have weekly podcasts in Holistic Health News since I cannot break that streak of weekly episodes since its founding in early 2017.  But the daily articles will dry up quite a bit.  “Why is that?” you may ask. Well it’s time to focus on something very important here at NPE.  Time to write the weight maintenance book.

I take pride in content, and in particular, my content.  Daily postings have been coming out of NPE for almost 6 months.  It does take time and dedication to do it, but I love producing my daily “little babies.”  But for me to write the weight maintenance book the daily posting days will go into hibernation for most of the summer.

Some of you might be surprised that I’m writing a weight maintenance book, but I have mentioned it in Holistic Health episodes.  As all of you know, I already wrote my first book, Confessions of an Obese Child.  That book, of course, details my childhood as a fat kid, the inter-dynamics that played into to me turning to food and eventually how I lost the weight. 

But I always had the idea to write a follow-up book.  This book would be even more important in that it would cover the close to 30 years of weight maintenance.  The first book covers the groundwork how why I gained the weight and how I lost it, but the follow-up is even more crucial.

Why is this weight maintenance book even more crucial?  Because many people can’t lose a lot of weight, but there certainly are people who do it.  But the percentage of people who lose more than 50 lbs. and keep it off is negligible…close to 3%. Why is that?  There are certainly many answers to that and this book will cover many of them.

Not to wax arrogant, but the fact that I have lost over 100 pounds and have kept it off for over 27 years is extremely impressive.  I have written a series with that same name that offers some generalized tips. Check it out.

But this book will be all-encompassing.  I will detail the key actions that have helped me keep my weight off since 1991.  From dietary intake to biohacks to fasting to sleep hygiene and more!

So, for a while I will be leaving the daily blogging.  The food recipes and ruminations will be put on hold, but just know that something bigger and better is coming down the pipe.  I am very excited to share this book with you so you can learn the keys to weight loss and maintenance to optimize your health.
