The classic ratio of vegetables to fruits in a green smoothie is 2 two cups green vegetable to 1 cup fruit. Sometimes rules are made to be broken! In this turmeric green smoothie recipe we have amped up the fruit to give it a tropical edge. Imagine drinking this smoothie on the Maya Riviera or Hawaii.
What makes this turmeric green smoothie great?
The coconut milk, pineapple, and mango bring the requisite tropical, tangy sweetness. The Greek yogurt and coconut milk bring the fat. Most importantly, the lemon, ginger, kale, and turmeric bring the anti-oxidant punch to fight against systematic inflammation in the body.
